Advent Study – Sundays, December 3, 10 and 17, 10:00 am

Our Advent study “An Unlikely Advent: Extraordinary People of the Christmas” will meet for three Sundays in December. This will be lead by our Ministerial Intern, Bailey Jones.

Living Nativity – Sunday, December 3, 5:00 – 7:00 pm Church Lawn

Please join us for a special evening as we re-enact the night Jesus was born.

Live animals, kings, shepherds, angels, Mary, Joseph, and the sweet baby Jesus will all be there. Won’t you? It’s our 28th annual presentation with cider, cookies and cheer on the church lawn.

We are recruiting people of all ages for the above roles. We need adults for the Kings, Mary and Joseph. All roles are truly open to anyone. We suggest young children sign up for angels and shepherds. Special Christmas Music “A Charlie Brown Christmas” – Sunday, December 10 11:00 am Sanctuary

Please join our children, youth and Sanctuary Choir for the upcoming Christmas Cantata, “Charlie Brown Christmas” Invite your friends and family to join us in this festive musical event!

Gingerbread House Decorating Contest – Friday, December 15 5:00 – 7:00 pm Montgomery Hall

Come for a festive evening of decorating gingerbread houses! This event is for people of all ages who want to join in the fun. You can enter as an individual or as a group. Please RSVP to Bailey Jones or Rev. Dawn Marie Singleton (pastor at cherrydaleumc.org). Please plan to bring your own kit and supplies. If you need help buying a kit, please note than when you RSVP.

Christmas Lunch Bunch – Sunday, December 17 Following 11:00 am Worship Service Montgomery Hall

All are invited to stay after worship and feast with us. Bring a side dish to share and lots of holiday cheer!

Santa’s Secret Shop for Children – Sunday, December 17 12:00 – 1:00 pm Montgomery Hall

This is an opportunity for your children to purchase gifts for parents, siblings and relatives (at child-friendly prices). Bring your friends and neighbors to shop, wrap purchases and enjoy some cocoa and cookies!

Donations of gift items can be left in the church office.

Youth Christmas Party – Sunday, December 17 5:00 – 7:00 pm Montgomery Hall

Bring a “white elephant” gift to exchange (less than $20).

Christmas Eve Worship – Sunday, December 24 5:00 pm & 9:00 pm Sanctuary

**There will be no 11:00 am worship service on Sunday, December 24**

Family Christmas Eve Service 5:00 pm

Come support our youth and children as we open our hearts to the Christ child through the Christmas story. This service is perfect for those with young children.

Candlelight and Communion Service 9:00 pm

Come hear Rev. Dawn-Marie Singleton share the message of Christmas and celebrate Holy Communion. We will conclude the service in candlelight, singing the solemn words of “Silent Night.”
