FAQs

What is a service like at Cherrydale?

Whether you have attended church your whole life or you’ve never been before, you are welcome here! Worship is where we seek God with a joyful and open heart. Our service follows an order and style similar to other Christian faith communities. It always includes an inspiring message from Rev. Singleton, prayer, and music. We are honored that you would choose to spend an hour of your Sunday morning with us at Cherrydale.

What time should I come?

Our worship service starts at 11:00 am. We invite you to come earlier so you can enjoy the prelude and prepare yourself to experience God. Of course, you are welcome anytime.

Our choir practices in the sanctuary on Sunday mornings from about 9:00 am – 10:30 so if you have a passion for music, come join us then!

Whether you attend in person or on Zoom – we can’t wait to meet you. Please email office@cherrydalumc.org for more information and the link to join us via Zoom if you prefer.

Do you have anything for Children?

Children and families are a priority at Cherrydale. We have nursery care for children under 3 at each service. Our Cherrydale Cheetahs Sunday School meets during the 11 am service each week. Children begin worship with their families then the Sunday School teachers lead the children upstairs after the Children’s Time. Parents can pick up the children in their classrooms upstairs after the service.

What should I wear?

Come as you are! At Cherrydale you’ll see plenty of dresses and suits, but jeans and a t-shirt are also welcome.

How do I join?

Come and meet with Rev. Singleton to learn the basics of what we believe as United Methodist and why. She’ll share about our vision at Cherrydale and the different paths to becoming a member.  Contact her through the church office.
